My Art Story
It is often said that true expression reveals itself in its own time.
As an independent artist, I discovered my practice later in life, an awakening shaped by the richness of travel and the profound stillness of the pandemic. In that moment of pause, I turned inward and found painting not merely as a medium, but as a language, one that continues to evolve with every canvas.
Beginning later has instilled in my work a distinct sense of intention. Each piece is approached with clarity, presence, and an uncompromising commitment to the process. There is no urgency to define, only a desire to explore.
Working primarily in oil, my compositions emerge intuitively. A canvas may unfold into a portrait, a landscape, a botanical study, or a fleeting, delicate form. I allow each subject to reveal itself naturally, guided by instinct rather than expectation. This allowed my works to win People's choice award at several exhibitions.
A recent source of inspiration is the Hawaiian healing plant turmeric, known as Olena - a symbol of renewal, vitality, and quiet strength. This influence subtly weaves through my work, reflecting an underlying pursuit of balance, warmth, and restoration.

My practice is guided by an uncompromising commitment to intention, where every composition is developed with precision, restraint, and a deep sensitivity to nuance. Working primarily in oil on canvas and panel, I am drawn to the medium’s historical significance and its unparalleled capacity for depth, luminosity, and permanence. My approach is deliberately measured; technique serves the work without overshadowing it, allowing the essence of each piece to emerge with clarity and refinement.
Production is intentionally limited. Each painting is a one-of-one original, never reproduced, ensuring rarity and distinction within a curated collection. Works are released selectively, preserving both their exclusivity and long-term significance. This measured output reflects a philosophy that values legacy over volume.
Graphite works on paper are created on occasion, offering a more intimate counterpoint to the scale and presence of my oil paintings. However, oil remains central to my practice and its evolution.
